Subsurface wins BP well work

Well work: the BP-operated Valhall field off Norway

Norwegian player Subsurface has won a prestigious five-year contract with BP to provide well-related services on fields off Norway.

The Stavanger-based well engineering outfit will deliver drilling, well and petroleum technology services for the UK supermajor under the deal, for which a value was not disclosed, that it said was won in competition with “many other companies”.

Subsurface, established in 2011, comprises 25 engineers and has previously been engaged by BP on technical consultancy work in connection with field development projects and operations.
