Subsea 7 wins in GOM

Subsea 7: Work in the GOM

Oslo-listed Subsea 7 has been awarded a contract worth more than $50 million for work in the Gulf of Mexico.

The company won the contract from Freeport-McMoRan Oil & Gas to support the development of the KOQV and Holstein Deep fields.

Work includes the installation of flexible pipeline and umbilicals for both fields, with the offshore installation phase expected to be carried out by the Subsea 7 vessel - the Seven Seas - in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Onshore project management and engineering will be carried out from the company’s office in Houston.
