Terne 'dry' for E.ON

Duster: Borgland Dolphin

German explorer E.ON E&P has failed to hit hydrocarbons with a probe at the Terne prospect in the Norwegian Sea, according to partner Det Norske Oljeselskap.

The 6507/5-7 wildcat has been drilled using semi-submersible Borgland Dolphin in production licence 558, operated by E.ON with a 30% stake.

Det Norske has agreed to farm down 10% out of its 20% holding to Petrolia, with remaining partners Petoro on 20% and PGNiG Norway and Nexen Exploration with 15% apiece.
