EMGS seals Tullow 3D job

More work: For the BOA Thalassa from Tullow

Seismic contractor Electromegnetic Geoservices (EMGS) has landed a deal from Tullow Oil to shoot a 3D survey in the North Sea.

The contract for the survey in the northern part of the oil province is worth $7.7 million and will begin in August.

EMGS will put its vessel BOA Thalassa on the job. Earlier this month the company revealed it had won a $2.3 million contract for a 3D shoot in the Norwegian Sea for a client, which it did not identify, with the BOA Thalassa also to be used.
