Black Rock Oil & Gas has hit what it described as "fair to good" oil shows in the Lower Mugrosa formation at the Acacia Este exploration well in Colombia.

The well is in the Las Quinchas association contract area and was drilled to a total depth of 3970 feet.

The company said the initial results were encouraging, adding preparations are under way ahead of testing the well.

test results should be available in between 10 to 20 days.
