Aramco eyes Khursaniyah start-up

By Upstream staff

Saudi Aramco said today that the Khursaniyah project was on track to start production in December, with flows from the field pegged to come in at about 500,000 barrels per pay.

"The start of the project for the production of new crude oil in Khursaniyah is expected in December 2007," Aramco said in a statement.

Last year, Aramco had hoped to pump first oil in June this year.

The development will also produce 300 million cubic feet per day of associated gas, with gas also due on stream in December.
