Red Fork stabs in Oklahoma

By Upstream staff

Australia’s Red Fork Energy has spudded its 4-28 well on its 100% owned Osage coalbed methane project in Oklahoma, the company said today.

Red Fork said in an announcement to the Australian Stock Exchange that the well would be drilled to a depth of 1400 feet to test known zones in coal seams in the area, with completion work expected to be wrapped up by next week.

Red Fork also said it had leased an additional 6000 acres, bringing its total holdings in four separate project areas in Oklahoma to 30,000 acres.
