Petrolifera tastes Puesto Morales pay

By Upstream staff

Canadian company Petrolifera Petroleum said its RN.PM a-1061 well on Argentina’s Puesto Morales north field had flowed at a rate of 1643 barrels per day through a 50 millimetre choke with no water during testing.

Petrolifera said the well in Argentina's Neuquen basin had been perforates in the lower part of a 17-metre zone in the Sierras Blancas formation based on logging results. Further testing would be run on further perforation in the upper part of the zone, the company said.

The company said it expected to tie in the well as a producer with initial output of 1000 bpd, increasing the company’s production to more than 8000 bpd.
