Sweden's PA Resources said today its floating storage and offloading vessel Didon is back in action at the Didon field, off Tunisia, after being refitted in Malta.
PA said the FSO has been connected to the production system and put into operation, completing the last step of the development's second phase.
The work carried out on the Didon FSO comprised a major service and refit to the 465,000 barrel vessel. It also underwent a dry-docking and class inspection which means that she can now stay on the field until at least 2013.
The switch over of the ships was a complex operation, but all work, including connecting the TCMS riser chain to Didon was successful.
Production to the Didon vessel has resumed and it will ramp up over the next few days to full production.
