TNK-BP rakes in the profits

Russian producer TNK-BP, half owned by UK supermajor BP, has seen its first half 2007 net profit come in at $2.15 billion.

The results were calculated under US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

The company did not give any comparative figures as this was its first announcement of half year results calculated to US GAAP.

The company also said revenues were $15.3 billion.
