Tullow lines up Ghana rig

London- and Dublin-listed Tullow Oil said talks to line up rigs for a two-well drilling programme in Ghana, scheduled for the first quarter of next year, are moving ahead.

The company added it is also in talks for rigs for a planned two- to four-well programme scheduled for the second quarter.

Tullow also said preparations for the Ngassa exploration well, in Uganda, are on schedule with the well is expected to spud on 23 October, a Thomson Financial report said.
