Granby lines up Transocean Prospect

By Upstream staff

UK North Sea player Granby Oil & Gas has struck a deal with AGR Petroleum to use the semi-submersible drilling rig Transocean Prospect to sink a well in the central North Sea in April next year.

Granby said it would decide exactly which prospect would be tested following interpretation of four new seismic surveys of the region shot earlier this year, Thomson’s Financial News reported.

The company also said the rig could be used for appraisal or development work in the area.
