Toisa Pegasus DSV to make splash

By Upstream staff

Dutch-based IHC Merwede said it would launch the new diving support vessel Toisa Pegasus, built for Bermuda shipowner Toisa, from its shipyard on Saturday.

Merwede said the 132-metre vessel includes advanced dynamic positioning equipment, a full dive spread and an 18-person twin-bell saturation diving system, allowing to support a wide range of subsea activities.

The 7800-tonne ship has berths for up to 100 people.

The Pegasus is an advanced version of its sister vessels, the Toisa Proteus, Polaris and Perseus.
