By Upstream staff
Australia’s Rawson Resources and its joint venture partners have expanded their coalbed methane assets by purchasing by tender a new permit in Queensland's Surat basin.
Rawson said the venture plans to drill three CBM wells at newly-acquired permit ATP-873P in the first year.
TRUenergy Australia is operator of the joint venture with a 70% stake. Rawson has 15%, and Energetica Resources holds the remaining 15%.
