Petrolifera strikes again in Neuquen

By Upstream staff

Canada’s Petrolifera Petroleum said its PMN-1038 well on the Puesto Morales concession in Argentina’s Neuquen basin had flowed light oil at about 500 barrels of oil per day from the Sierras Blancas formation.

Calgary-based Petrolifera said the well would be completed and tied in as soon as possible and was expected to produce between 500 and 1000 bpd to sales.

The company said it had also commissioned its high-pressure gas pipeline linking its Puesto Morales Nord field to Medanito area. The pipe is expected to carry 10 million cubic feet of natural gas per day from the fields, where it is recovered in association with oil.
