Talks continue: on the future for the Kashagan field
ExxonMobil named as odd man out
ExxonMobil has been named as the single member of the Eni-led AgipKCO consortium developing the Kashagan oilfield in Kazakhstan that has opposed the settlement plan being debated, Kazakh Energy Minister Sauat Mynbayev said today.
Asked by Reuters which company opposed the plan, Mynbayev said: "Exxon".
"We will talk to this company and other companies. That is not the final decision," the minister added.
Kazakh state oil company KazMunaiGas said yesterday that all but one member of the consortium had agreed to raise its stake in the project.
