Rockhopper starts work on Ernest
Rockhopper Exploration is kicking off work on an environmental impact assessement at the Ernest prospect, in PL024, off the Falkland Islands, and hopes to be able to spud a well on the prospect soon.
The company added that Norway's Wavefield Inseis has finished a site survey over the Ernest prospect, and that drilling plans are subject to rig availability.
The company also said it is making good progress in the interpretation of the 3D seismic data over licences PL032 and PL033, and initial indications are 'encouraging'. It said it will likely update on the final interpretation results before the end of January, a Thomson Financial report said.
