Noreco checks in Huntington flow

Norway’s Noreco said today the first stage of appraisal drilling on the Huntington discovery in Block 22/14b in the UK Central North Sea had been completed, with early testing indicating significant flow rates.

Noreco said drill-stem testing of two intervals yielding maximum flow rates of 2100 barrels per day and 5208 bpd.

An appraisal well targeting Jurassic Fulmar sands will commence shortly.

This well is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2008.

Noreco has a 20% stake in the Huntingdon field.
