Rig delays: for the Chicuaco Block joint venture partners
Rig delays hold up Monza spud
Australia's Baraka Petroleum said today the Monza-1 exploration well in Colombia’s Chicuaco Block is now scheduled to spud in the first week of January 2008, following a delay to the drill rig’s arrival on-site.
The current planned total depth is approximately 1528 metres with an expected drilling time of 26 days.
Baraka has a 20% working interest in the Chicuaco Block, alongside operator Omega Energy, which holds the remaining 80%.
