Ecopetrol hits new reserves
Colombia's Ecopetrol has found oil and gas at one of its exploration sites in a southern region as the country hunts out new production.
Ecopetrol said in a statement the Tenax-1 site in Huila department was producing 1920 barrels per day of crude and 2.2 million cubic feet of gas.
With security improving under President Alvaro Uribe, Ecopetrol is searching for new deposits and inviting foreign investors to explore on and off shore.
