Publication of an official report on the sinking of the anchor handling supply vessel Bourbon Dolphin off the Shetlands last April has been delayed by two months.

The findings of an official Norwegian commission of inquiry into the accident, which claimed eight lives, had been expected at the end of next month, but will now appear only in April, the BBC reported.

The judge leading the inquiry has asked for more time to consider the evidence in the report, the broadcaster reported on its website.

The Bourbon Dolphin sunk three days after capsizing during anchor handling operations with the semi-submersible drilling rig Transocean Rather on the Rosebank field.

The dead included the skipper’s 14-year-old son.
