Ownership talks: at Kovykta
Extra time on cards at Kovykta
BP has said it could extend talks with Russia's Gazprom over the Kovykta gas field if the two sides did not reach an agreement by a July deadline.
The two parties have agreed that Gazprom will buy control in Kovykta from TNK-BP , which half owned by BP, and then sell 25% back to the company as part of a broader strategic pact.
However, the two have given different estimates of the deal with Gazprom expecting to pay between $600 million and $800 million and TNK-BP planning to receive between $700 million and $900 million.
The difference in expectations stems from varying ideas on how much has been spent on developing the field, Reuters said
