TNK-BP investors rubbish sale talk

TNK-BP's Russian shareholders today issued a rare joint statement saying they had no plans to sell their stakes despite speculation they would do so soon.

"All talk about a planned sale of the Russian share in TNK-BP is wrong. AAR did not hold, is not holding and has no plans to hold any talks about the sale of its share in TNK-BP with either Russian or foreign companies," the statement said.

AAR stands for Alfa- Access-Renova, which owns 50% in TNK-BP, and represents the interest of billionaire businessmen Mikhail Fridman, Viktor Vekselberg, Len Blavatnik and a few others, a Reuters report said
