Win: Singapore-based CH Offshore reels in two new AHTS contracts
CH bags $180m charter deal
CH Offshore has sealed a deal to supply two newbuild anchor handling tug supply vessels (AHTS) to an undisclosed South American punter.
The boats will be chartered to the buyer for a firm four year period with a one year extension option.
Alternatively, the buyer can switch to a three year bareboat charter with two one year extension options at the end of the first year of the time charter.
Total value for the charters, including mobilisation and demobilisation charges, under the first contract option with all options exercised was given at around $183.2 million, and for the second contract option at $181.8 million.
The vessels, the Amethyst and the Turquoise, will have 12,240 bhp and are currently under construction in Japan.
The two units are due for delivery in March and June next year.
