Dana hooks up with Ikarus

By Upstream staff

Abu Dhabi-listed Dana Gas has signed an agreement with Kuwait’s Ikarus Petroleum Industries to co-operate on gas projects in the Middle East and North Africa.

The relationship between private natural gas outfit Dana Gas and Ikarus promises to lay the groundwork for a greater level of co-operation in the region’s energy sector, Dana said in a statement.

A memorandum of understanding signed between the two will focus specifically on petrochemicals and downstream projects, including hubs under development by Dana at several places across the region.

Ikarus Petroleum is parented by three Kuwaiti companies - National Industries for Building Materials, Noor Financial Investment and Markaz Energy Fund.
