Exoma set to spud first Anadarko well

By Upstream staff

Australian-listed Exoma Energy said today that the first well in its Anadarko Basin development programme is set to spud in early March.

The Kelln 94-2 well is designed to twin the Kelln Trust 5-1 well that is a mile away in the next block.

The Kelln Trust 5-1 well has steadily produced more than one million cubic feet of gas per day and 30 barrels of oil per day, said the onshore North American focused outfit.

The operator, Mewbourne Oil Company, aims for the Kelln 94-2 to achieve similar flow rates to Kelln Trust 5-1.

The well will be Perth-based Exoma’s first since buying the mature producing acreage said Exoma’s boss, Brendan Egan.
