Dockwise in the red

By Upstream staff

Full year results for 2007 have came up in the red for heavy transport company Dockwise, with a net loss of $75.8 million compared to net income of $60.7 million in 2006.

The decrease versus 2006 was attributed to the new capital structure in place following the buy-out by 3i and the reverse acquisition of Sealift.

Meanwhile group revenue increased by 15% to $290.1 million in 2007 compared with $252.1 million in 2006.

The company said strong growth in exploration activity as well as an increase in global activity for all cargoes resulted in strong revenue from its Dockwise Heavy Lift (DHL) company.
