Tests start: Kappa begins appraisal of Acacia Este 2 well in Colombia
Kappa tests Este 2
Kappa Resources is continuing appraisal drilling of the Acacia Este 2 well in the Las Quinchas Association contract in Colombia, where initial drilling hit oil shows over one hundred feet.
Acacia Este 2 was drilled at a total depth of 3752 feet.
Muliple zones are being tested in the well in order to assess potential productivity.
Meanwhile Acacia Este 1, which lies 500 metres south of Acacia Este 2, is currently pumping between 50 and 60 barrels of heavy oil per day, under a long-term production test.
Additional storage facilities have been installed at the Acacia Este field site.
Kappa and Black Rock are joint venture operators in the Las Quinchas Association contract.
