Shell lifts force majeure

By Upstream staff

Royal Dutch Shell has lifted the force majeure on exports of Nigerian Bonny light and Forcados crude flowing from the Nembe Creek pipeline.

"Pipeline repair has been done. We are able to meet all commercial obligations," a Shell spokesman said.

Earlier this month Shell declared force majeure on Bonny Light exports and stopped shipments from the terminal to repair three pipeline leaks, which were first discovered in January.

The affected pipeline feeds about 130,000 barrels per day to the Bonny Light export terminal.
