Endeavour bumps North Sea reserves

By Upstream staff

Houston-based North Sea player Endeavour International said its proved and probable reserves at the end of last year edged up to 29.8 million barrels of oil equivalent from 29.6 MMboe at the end of 2006.

Endeavour said the higher figures was the result of better-than-expected production from the Goldeneye, Brage and Njord fields and boosted reserves figures for the company’s operated Rubie, Renee and Rochelle assets.

The company said extensions and revisions of existing reserves and new discoveries had added 3.5 MMboe, offsetting production of 3.3 MMboe, or an average 9000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, in the year.

Endeavour said development of the Rubie, Renee and Rochelle fields would add about 7000 boepd of new production.

It said year-to-date production at its operations had averaged about 10,000 boepd.
