Det Norske bags Jotun stake

By Upstream staff

Lundin Petroleum has sold its 70% interest in the PL130B licence, including a 7% unitised interest in the Jotun field, to Det Norske Oljeselskap for Nkr72 million.

The Jotun field started production in 1999 and is producing to the Jotun FPSO through 12 development wells.

Lundin’s proven and probable reserves in Jotun were 900,000 barrels of oil equivalent as at 1 January 2008, with no associated contingent resources attributable to the field.

The sale is still subject to government and partner approval.
