New well boosts Rubiales flow
Canadian Latin America Pacific Rubiales Energy said it had completed the La Creciente A-4 well at the Rubiales field in Colombia and expected the well to add about 30 million cubic feet of gas per day to output from the field.
The well was drilled to a total measured depth of 12,530 feet and completed in the Cienaga de Oro formation. It will be connected to existing facilities at the field.
Meanwhile, the La Creciente A-2 sidetrack had reached measured depth of 8012 metres, the company said. The well is also targeting the Cienaga de Oro interval.
The company said the Rubiales field had also set an new oil production record of 30,000 barrels per day.
