AGR snares Russian drill gig

By Upstream staff

The Korean National Oil company has awarded AGR Group a contract to drill two top hole wells in the West Kamchatka peninsula in the Sea of Okhotsk that lies in Eastern Russia.

KNOC chose AGR’s RMR technology for the drilling programme that will start in June, based on its zero discharge capability.

“There is a short ice-free season in the region and RMR have proved its capability in the area the last two years based on zero discharge and its drilling efficiency in the top hole section of the well,” said AGR's vice president sales & marketing, John Dale.
