Latest jobsAustralian-listed Exomo Energy said that the Kelln 94-2 well in Texas’s Anadarko basin tested gas and condensate natural flow and is now shut in for a four day pressure build up prior to production.
A fracture stimulation programme for the Atoka is scheduled to kick off today and once the well has been fracced, it will be placed on production after a brief cleanup period.
The Kelln 94-2 well is designed to twin the Kelln Trust 5-1 well, which lies in the next block, section five, Oklahoma. The Kelln Trust 5-1 well has steadily produced in excess of 1 million cubic feet of gas per day, plus 30 barrels of oil per day from the Atoka formation.
“The well results appear to conform to pre-drill estimates and Exoma is pleased with the results to date,” said the company in a statement today.
The operator, Mewbourne Oil Company, aims for the Kelln 94-2 to achieve similar flow rates to Kelln Trust 5-1.
The Kelln 94-2 lies in section five, Block OS2 in Lipscomb County.
Exoma’s stake in the well is 18.92%.
