Innamincka gets to work on Flax-7

By Upstream staff

Innamincka Petroleum has spudded the Flax-7 development well on the Queensland sector of Australia’s Cooper basin.

Innamincka said in a statement today that it was drilling ahead at a depth of 60 metres in the development well, targeting a total depth of 2830 metres.

Drilling is expected to take 22 days.

The company said last week the Flax-6 development well would be cased after striking eight metres of potential oil pay.

Innamincka is the operator of the Flax field and holds a 75% stake in the project, while SCGAU, a subsidiary of Seoul City Gas, holds the remaining 25%.
