Reliance eyes deepwater development

By Upstream staff

Indian giant Reliance Industries is to submit an appraisal plan for a 38.1 million cubic feet a day gas find in one of its deepwater blocks off the east cost of India.

A company source said Reliance believed the find was commercially viable and would hand in an appraisal plan to the authorities in the next 60 days, reported Reuters.

In February, the company announced a discovery in the KG-DWN-2003/1 block in the gas-rich Krishna Godavari basin and said it was evaluating its viability.
