In this key role, you’ll have an important part to play in the wide range of new Oil and Gas developments we’re rolling out across the globe. And when you realise the scale and scope of what will often be $multi-billion projects, you’ll understand what an exciting opportunity that presents. Providing technical process engineering support, the challenges you’ll face will be as diverse as the projects you’re involved in. As well as working closely with Development Managers and Subsurface professionals to make the most of our existing sites and develop new proposals, you’ll oversee the work of contractors from conceptual studies all the way through to the detailed design stage. You’ll also contribute significantly to the development of less experienced colleagues.

Swedish registered West Siberian Resources said its first-quarter oil output had hit a company record of 3.16 million barrels, up 40% from the year-ago period.
The company said its average daily production of 34,748 barrels in the period from 25,163 bpd in the first quarter of 2006.
West Siberian said it expected total 2008 oil output to rise 41% year on year to 15 million barrels, excluding the effects of its merger with Alliance Oil, which will add further production. The company said Alliance Oil daily production amounted to about 9900 barrels per day.
West Siberia said total oil output from its assets in the Tomsk region was 1.05 million barrels, up from 707,285 barrels a year ago. Flows from the Timano-Pechora region rose to 1.18 million barrels from 641,257 barrels in the same period in 2007. Production from the Volga-Urals region assets hit 938,657 barrels from 916,116 barrels previously.
Nevertheless, West Siberian said production growth was limited in all the regions by intense field activity as part of its 2008 drilling and development programme.
