Two leaks on Yetagun link

By Upstream staff

Malaysian state oil company Petronas has found two ruptures in the Yetagun pipeline, it said today.

The pipeline carries gas to Thailand from Burma's Yetagun gas field, which is operated by Petronas.

"The ruptures have resulted in a supply disruption of about 460 million cubic feet per day of gas from the Yetagun field, offshore Burma, to Thailand," it said in a statement.

"Petronas is taking all the necessary efforts to expedite repair works on the ruptured sections of the pipeline," it added.
