Petrofac wins North Sea double

By Upstream staff

Services player Petrofac has landed two jobs with Venture Production for work in the UKsector of the North Sea.

The first award, which has been made to Petrofac's brownfield team, is for the Grouse development which is located about 7 kilometres east of the Kittiwake platform and forms part of the Greater Kittiwake Area.

The development plan is to route production from the single production well via the previously installed Goosander bundle. The Petrofac brownfield team will be responsible for designing and installing all associated topside modifications to the Kittiwake.

The second job is for front-end engineering and design contract for brownfield modifications to the Audrey B platform as part of the Ensign development.

The award includes a commitment that, following project sanction, all Ensign topsides construction and installation scopes will also be awarded to Petrofac Brownfield.

Ensign is a new gas field in the UK Southern North Sea (SNS) and lies 11 kilometres north-west of the normally unmanned installation Audrey B.

Petrofac’s Brownfield team will also be responsible for designing and installing all associated topside modifications to Audrey B, while further assisting with final commissioning of the topside facilities.
