Algeria push on Gassi Touil
Algerian state company Sonatrach is prequalifying engineering contractors for upstream work related to its revived Arzew-Gassi Touil integrated liquefied natural gas project.
Sonatrach is already tendering for downstream liquefaction facilities as it works to put momentum into the development.
Sources said Sonatrach is eyeing seven major companies for the technically challenging job of building surface facilities at Gassi Touil and that a shortlist is expected to be drawn up within weeks.
