Innamincka to sidetrack Flax well

By Upstream staff

Brisbane-based Innamincka Petroleum said it would sidetrack the Flax-7 development well in the Queensland section of the onshore Cooper basin.

The company said in a statement that the well would be sidetracked from the mid-Hutton sandstone after drilling equipment became stuck in the original bore.

The well has been drilled to a depth of 2215 metres, targeting a total depth of 2830 metres.

Innamincka operates the well with a 75% stake, while SCGAU holds a 25% stake.
