Algeria's state-owned energy player Sonatrach said it plans to increase its capacity to export natural gas sharply - to about 85 billion cubic metres per annum - in coming years.
"Algeria has unveiled significant infrastructure projects & the objective being to increase the natural gas export capacity to 85 Bcm per year in 2012, from 62 Bcm," Sonatrach's chief executive Mohamed Meziane told Reuters today.
