By Upstream staff

Indian driller Aban Offshore has won a $34 million contract for the Murmanskaya jack-up rig, which will see it get to work for ExxonMobil's Russian unit.

In a release, Aban said the jack-up would carry out a two-well programme for the supermajor.

The contract is expected to last 160 days, and carries a dayrate of about $212,000. The Murmanskaya is expected to get to work in June, Aban added.
