End of the road: M&P will plug and abandon the Cumbia well
Cumbia duster for M&P
French explorer Maurel & Prom (M&P) has plugged and abandoned the Cumbia exploration well on the San Jacinto and Rio Paez area in the upper Magdalena valley, about 300 kilometres south-west of Bogota in Colombia.
M&P has a 36.67% interest as the operator of the San Jacinto and Rio Paez permit.
Meanwhile, total production from the three Ocelote wells that lie in the Llanos region, some 300 kilometres east of Bogota, is currently 2480 barrels of oil per day, said M&P. An additional seven wells are planned in the permit this year, where M&P hold a 100% stake.
