Innamincka cases Flax-7 sidetrack

By Upstream staff

Brisbane-based Innamincka Petroleum said it was running production casing on the Flax-7 sidetrack well after reaching total depth at 2812 metres.

The company said it had run wireline logs of the well and analysis of these was underway. It also said it had cut cores at 2739 metres and 2721 metres after seeing oil florescence and gas shows in the Permian sediments.

Innamincka operates the well, in the Queensland sector of the Cooper basin, with a 65% stake, while SCGAU holds the remaining 25%.
