New Middle East head for Halliburton

US oilfield services giant Halliburton has appointed Gasser El-Badrashini as its vice president for the Middle East.

El-Badrashini replaces Marc Gasser, who is to head up Halliburton’s production enhancement product business within its completion and production division in Houston.

Badrashini will lead the company’s 3000 employees in United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and elsewhere. He will relocate from Saudi Arabia to the company’s Dubai headquarters.

According to a company statement, he has more than 25 years experience with Hallurton throughout the Middle East.

“Gasser has been instrumental in developing some of the region's most complex projects and will continue strengthening our relationships with national oil companies in this area,” said Ahmed Lotfy, halliburton’s president for the eastern hemisphere.
