You will take on a Project Management lead role and be responsible for managing and delivery within budget. You are to deliver Prospect projects, using your own technical expertise and experience in Engineering Design and Computational Analysis as well as group-wide technical support.
Design and specification of hydraulic systems for marine and offshore cranes.
Calculations in accordance with the regulations of the classification companies.
Follow-up of workshops and subcontractors at home and abroad.
Participation in design and product development for our projects.
You will report to the Principal Engineer, you will support the execution of Prospect projects, using your own technical expertise and experience in Engineering Design, Computational Analysis as well as group-wide technical support.
In this key role, you’ll have an important part to play in the wide range of new Oil and Gas developments we’re rolling out across the globe. And when you realise the scale and scope of what will often be $multi-billion projects, you’ll understand what an exciting opportunity that presents. Providing technical process engineering support, the challenges you’ll face will be as diverse as the projects you’re involved in. As well as working closely with Development Managers and Subsurface professionals to make the most of our existing sites and develop new proposals, you’ll oversee the work of contractors from conceptual studies all the way through to the detailed design stage. You’ll also contribute significantly to the development of less experienced colleagues.

China's ambassador Cui Tiankai to Japan has played down expectations that a row over natural gas resources in the East China Sea can be settled during President Hu Jintao's visit next month, according to reports.
A dozen rounds of official-level talks between the pair have failed to yield a resolution over how to use the resources in parts of the sea over which both sides claim economic rights, a Reuters report said.
"Of course we hope the problem can be resolved at an early date," Cui said in an interview with Japan's Fuji TV republished on the Chinese Foreign Ministry's website.
"But the East China Sea question is very complicated and there are many technical questions to be resolved so it would be inadvisable to directly connect it with the leadership visit."
"Otherwise, not only will it interfere with the visit, it will not be helpful to resolving the problem," Cui said.
Earlier, Cui had said China hoped the issue could be settled in time for Hu's trip, which is expected in early May and which will be the first by a Chinese head of state to Japan in 10 years.
It follows reciprocal visits by Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Japanese Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda in the past year, as ties warm between the former wartime foes despite the outstanding gas issue.
Japan's World War Two invasion of China has shadowed relations and, as China has grown into an economic giant, the two have become strategic competitors for influence in the region.
But leaders of both countries have indicated they are keen to keep ties on a more even keel after they reached a crisis point three years ago when anti-Japanese protests erupted across China.
