Turkey, which has been keen to explore Iraqi resources, is also in talks with companies including Shell to build a natural gas pipeline to export Iraqi gas to Turkey, Guler told reporters at parliament.
Turkey has been pushing for rights to explore gas fields in northern Iraq and has supported the possibility of using Iraqi gas for the Nabucco gas pipeline project that would link European consumers with gas resources in the Middle East and Caspian areas.
Guler also said that Turkey and the Netherlands had decided to set up a joint company for wind and other energy projects, but gave no further details.
