OMV makes splash at Sidi Mansour

Austrian producer OMV has taken an 80% stake in the Sidi Mansour Block, off Tunisia.

OMV bought the stake from Thani Tunisia. Financial details of the deal were not immediately available.

Sidi Mansour lies in the Gulf of Gabes and cover 6592 square kilometres with water depths ranging from 0 to 60 metres.

OMV will get to work on the block this year, starting with a 500 line kilometre 2D survey.
