ODE cleans its plate at Ebla

By Upstream staff

UK-based engineering and project management player ODE has tied up work on an eight-month, £6 million ($11.8 million) front-end engineering and design job at the Ebla gas development in Syria for operator Petro-Canada.

The work covered all the surface facilities at Ebla, including multiple well sites, flowlines, a gas gathering station and gas treatment plant, as well as an 88 kilometre, 16-inch pipeline.

The Ebla development, due to come on stream in August 2010, includes two fields, Ash Shaer and Cherrife, in central Syria, north-west of Palmyra.

The FEED workscope included all facilities from the well trees up to the tie-in to the export lines, as well as all associated utilities and infrastructure.

Five gas well sites and three oil well sites are initially planned for the Ash Shaer field with one gas well site pencilled in for the Cherrife field.
